Nacho Nouveau—How to Make a Nacho Beef Dish

t’s time to cook up the competition! A Nacho Beef Dish is one great dish for tailgating or any regular get together. The ingredients to create this delicious delicacy are:

– 1 pound of ground beef (93% lean or leaner)

– 1 jar (15 or 16 ounces) of cheese dip of your choice

– 1/2 thick-and-chunky mild or medium salsa

The toppings are based on what you want to put in your dish. There are some things we suggest like diced red bell pepper, thinly sliced green onions, and sliced ripe olives.

Once you have all of these ingredients, it’s time to cook!

1) Cook the ground beef in a nonstick skillet for 8-10 minutes at an internal temperature of 160ºF. Make sure it breaks into 3/4-inch crumbles and stir it occasionally.

2) Add cheese dip and salsa; cook and stir about 3 minutes or until mixture is heated thoroughly.

3) Pour the beef mixture into a shallow serving dish, serve with tortilla chips and toppings.

NOTE: Don’t forget to thaw the beef thoroughly, and that a pink color is an indication that the beef is not finished cooking. Once you’re done, you get to enjoy this incredible dish!
