JA vs. prep: A Rivaled Competition

A takes on prep on 4 October 2019. This will be the first time JA plays prep for the season. The game will be played on home turf in The Brickyard. Kickoff will be right at 7:00. The game will also be a conference game that is a must needed victory.

Jackson Academy and prep are the biggest rival schools in sports, specifically football. Both teams have a long history together. One of the early recorded games between these two rivals was in the 2004-2005 season. In 2004, the Raiders took on the patriots and had an outstanding game, with the final result being 34-24. In 2005, JA took on prep again and won 21-0. It was the MAIS State Championship game and the Raiders raised the trophy that year.

Since that historic game, 24 games were played between Jackson Academy and jackson prep. Jackson Academy has won 9 out of these 24 meeting with jackson prep. prep has won 15 out of the 24 meetings. The patriots have gained more championship trophies than Jackson Academy, and they are looking forward to keeping it that way. The Raiders, meanwhile, are trying to reignite their phenomenal legacy and defeat the patriots.

JA have now played 6 games in the season of 2019-2020. They have fell to Pillow Academy, MRA, and Pelahatchie. The game vs the Chiefs took place in Pelahatchie, MS. The Raiders were leading well, but the Chiefs fought back. As a result, the final score was 49-37.

Jackson Academy is willing to put another win in their season stats. The rival game is a much-needed win, as one more loss will potentially put JA at risk to losing a chance at a championship game. jackson prep has played 6 games for their 2019-2020 season, 5 of which they have won. The patriots played Heritage Academy in Columbus, MS and fell 24-15. The Raiders have hope, but the patriots currently have the better odds…only Friday will tell.
